The German Car Industry My Part in its Victory Came out this year and seems to have gone down really well, in fact you can read all the reviews here. I would like to think that this is a unique take on the 1980s which is when German cars in particular were absolutely brilliant. I know because at the time I sold BMWs for a living. E30s, E28s, E24s, E21s, E23s may mean nothing to you, but Nigel Havers, Kenny Everett and others make guest appearances. Its the history of the German car industry but with an ‘80s twist plus reviews of just what cassettes were unwinding on the Blaupunkt. Oh yes and there are line drawings of BMWs and actual month by month sales figures. There has never been a book like it.

We’ve only had to wait 12 years, but finally you can read the full story of Spencer Haze. Many people have thought that it influenced the BBC TV Series Life on Mars, but I couldn’t possibly comment.
